The first step to using Split Hero is connecting your website to the platform.
Here is a step-by-step guide on how to do that starting from once you have logged in.
1. Click the domains tab on the left-hand side or if you haven't set up any domains yet there will be a link on your dashboard to connect a domain.
2. On this page you will see your API key for your account and a button to download our plugin. Click and download our plugin. You can also directly download our plugin here.
3. Once you have downloaded our plugin, login into your WordPress website and install and activate the plugin. If you are new to WordPress, here are instructions on how to install a WordPress plugin. Once the plugin is activated, if you hover over the 'settings' item in the left-hand menu you will see a new item added called 'SplitHero'. Click this to open up the settings page to connect your website to Split Hero. Alternatively, if you find Split Hero on your plugins page list there is a 'Settings' link there too.
4. On this settings page you will see a box to enter your API key. This can be found on the page from step 2. Copy and paste this from your Split Hero account into Step 1 on the Split Hero settings page in WordPress and click save. Step 2, click 'sync' and then step 3, click the 'create a campaign' button to up the campaign page in the Split Hero platform (provided you're logged in).
Your website is now connected to Split Hero! If you visit the domains section in the Split Hero platform from step 2 of this article, you should now see your connected domain and the amount of synced items.
